My father's German. I've never been to Germany (financial reasons). Hell, I can't even speak the language (lazy parenting reasons). But, in order to show some sort of German patriotism, I've always supported the team.

I was born in Johannesburg, one of the more 'advanced' cities in (South) Africa. It's nothing like New York, but it's not a barren wasteland with lions running about, either.

Or my parentings have been lying to me for all these years...
