Brazil are so overrated. If England drew Brazil I'd fully expect us to beat them. Robinho Elano and Kaka. :laughing?

Robinho 30 million flop.
Elano not good enough for City.
Kaka 50 million? And hasn't done anything since 2005 at AC Milan.

They might be there or there abouts, but I'd fully expect a lot of teams to turn them over.

When the US beats England and wins Group C, we'll earn a softer knockout round draw. On paper, the runner up would go on to face Germany then (with a win) Argentina, while the winner goes on to face possibly Ghana then France.

Of course, the only thing set in stone in that scenario is the US beating England... Other than that the US matchups are somewhat of a tossup.

The last 2 world cups, from what I remember, they were great in the group stages and then when it came to the knockout rounds they fluffed it and played crap. Although in 2002 they did reach the semis if I remember rightly..
Yeah, the Dutch and English are a lot alike in this sport. They have all the talent in the world and never seem to fully get it together. I'm rooting for the Netherlands though. I don't mind the English but I can't stand their national team. Netherlands in 2010.

It's bad enough that England will lose, now you have to laugh at them too? Talk about kickin' them when they're down...

Im going for USA for the upset victory. Once they are knocked out I hope the Netherlands take it in a repeat of Clockwork Orange.

Not liking England for Terry and Cole is acceptable, they are cnuts of the highest order.

Other than that our national team isn't too bad. Even though I'm a massive United fan, if Capello plays Walcott/Lennon instead of Michael Johnson he's a clown. Johnson has been far more impressive than them two on the right of midfield.

What do people think their supported teams strongest line up is? Not the line up they think the manager will pick. I'll go with.

James

Johnson
Ferdinand
Terry
Cole

M. Johnson
Lampard
Barry/Hargreaves
Gerrard
Ashley Young

Rooney

Risky putting Hargo in there after only just coming back to fitness, but we need that type of player. Gerrard to play in the hole behind Rooney.

Barry's injured & it looks like he won't make the world cup.

I'd have Milner over Ashley Young anyday.

Who would you play instead of Barry? Another striker playing in a 4-4-2 formation? Or would you put Hargreaves in there?

Hmm, perhaps. I wouldn't be opposed to putting Milner on the left. I would've had Joe Cole but he's had an unfortunate season with injury and there are other players who've had better seasons who can play there, so..

The thing is these players are far better at international level than they are at club level and Brazilian managers like Dunga know how to motivate them etc and players such as Robinho are not really for the Premiership either.
