Disgraceful performance. Not as disgraceful as England fans though. Someone on Facebook - "England are shit im not even gonna bother with them anymore germany to win the cup !!"

Unfathomable wanker.

I don't think I've ever seen Gerrard & Rooney play so badly in a match.

At least things are still in England's hands.

England did a horrendous game, they don't deserve to progress. Rooney was the worst player on the field, I don't understand why they keep him when he obviously can't perform on a national level.

Rooney's comment about the England team being booed off the pitch is a little rich.
35,000 English fans paid good money to watch 11 overpaid players fail to string two decent passes together.
I think England fans deserve a bit more than a second rate performance against a second rate Algeria.

On the upside, it won't do the players any harm and at least they have the chance to put matters right in the last group match.

The only way is up!

That's the worst I've ever seen Rooney play. His first touch was terrible, but the service to him was even worse.
The latter part of your comment is complete bullshit!.

The reality of soccer is, football.
Lets hope you don't get an English referee in the next match.

Booing your country is a disgrace. I can understand the frustration, I've been to many matches and I've been let down. (United 1 - 4 Liverpool 2 seasons ago) but I'd never dream of booing the team/country I love.

The whole thing brings back memories of Englands World Cup performances under Sir Bobby Robson in both 1986 and 1990, two poor matches followed by vital victories...........the team then just got better and better.

Taking positives out of the match, I thought James looked confident and I really believe they will stuff Slovenia in the final match, Slovenia blew their big chance today for an easy ride in the final match and England should put them to the sword (I hope)

The group is now wide open and makes for an interesting Wednesday afternoon.
