Yeah most the time our prison systems do not accomplish that feat. Only educate petty criminals on how to become professional ones. Im sure Vicks stay was not pleasant in the least,and even more so due to his celebrity status. Making him all that more targeted. He's doing all the right things though right now. Hopfully he'll hang in there and overlook the skepticism. The media's more unforgiving and critical than whats needed most times. But their opinion like so many is just opinion and garbage at best most the time. To much politicly correct non-sense a lot of the time they get caught up in. Once again thats why I like the media sluts like T.O. and others. They seem to just indirectly seek and taunt the media into negative attention and admire the controversy they have created. Kudo's to them for pretty much giving a finger to the media and continuing in their shamless careers. The drama is well deserved and critics bring it on theirselves. Vicks not gonna get caught up in that cause he is restablishing his image. I hope he succeeds in his career though and even supersedes the elite Q.B.'s in previous history. Keeping this all american dream alive and exciting to watch for many more years to come.

Being born into a die hard Dallas Cowboy or bust family. I was destined whether realized or not that would be my team. I cant emphasize enough on how intense the mood was on game day. Even so I remember liking the Bears as well. Not sure if anyone else remembers the 1985 squad, but there were a few hall of famers in there. I remember The Fridge taking handoffs and scoring touchdowns. Walter Peyton breaking tackles giving stiff arms, and just flat running people over. Then you had The Fridge "William Perry",Richard Dent, and the great Mike Singletary punishing folks on deffense. The Fridge playing RB was always my favorite thing to watch. Really he was a deffensive tackle, but the names defination enough for what gave him the edge on offense.(somewhat like what Vrabel use to do for the Pats..only he caught passes instead of run over folks)..(by the way doesnt he play for the Chiefs now?)Anyway.. I did a book report on Mike Singletary in school on time. Thats how much his skills on the field influenced me. To bad as a head coach it didnt play out with the same success he had as a player. There is just not a very good percentage of great players making great head coaches. You would think it would be the opposite. Either way though you didnt dare root for them come game day in the living room when I was a child. I cant help but think their worth mentioning now as one of the blast from the past star struck teams. That struck fear into the eyes of whoever their oppenent happened to be that season. Maybe somebody else remembers these greats or another favorite worthy of mention. Or maybe a specific player that caused a team to be a favorite of yours. Whatever the case..feel free to share your knowledge of the game.

Led by my favorite head coach, Marv Levy, the Bills ruled the lands yet again, and fell short... yet again. As if having Jim Kelly was not enough, he was backed up by Frank Reich, the quarterback responsible for the greatest comeback in NFL history. After the Oilers spanked us in the final week, we met them again the next week in the wildacrd game and Reich took them down after being behind 32pts. There were 12 pro bowl selections this year, and I feel that most of those players were the best we have had since. Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas, Don Beebe, Bruce Smith and Steve Tasker all on the roster.

'98 Vikings. Huge Vikings fan and that was the best team we ever had, not to mention the most entertaining to watch. Last year was definitely 2nd though. This year... :banghead:

Im going to just post a player.Even though his team was one of the elite when I was growing up as well.I just cant think of anyone who holds more records and set the bar any higher in the game of football. The term "Close but no cigar" always comes to mind when I think of the Bills. With the cast of all pro stars they attained during their AFC reign. Its depressing to think back of what they left on the table sometimes. So much talent and overall charisma on the field. These guys always made it interesting to see who was gonna be victorious during whatever stage was set. Man they had some of the greats to be remembered for sure. With Don Bebe robing my Cowboys of the super bowl points record. When he stripped the moronic Leon Lett on like the one yard line. Sill I miss that old rivalry type atmosphere they brought to their opponent. I hope with this new young cast of talent they can recapture those glory days and capitalize on some missed opportunities of the past. Great team
