I still think the vikings have a long term plan and never intended for this to be a playoff season. If they wanted to win now they would have signed a quality receiver.

This year was all about ponders development, and i think he deserve to finish the season. But if we are in a position to win late we need to switch webb in.

What i read online about joe webb is he struggles when teams have a week to prepare for him, but does great as a "relief pitcher" or change of pace guy.

At least our offensive line and secondary improved drastically this season. Our running game isn't going anywhere. Hopefully we retain harvin and gerhardt, sign a veteran quarterback, trade joe webb+someone for another QB, and make a commitment to the playoffs next year.

I still think we need to add to the secondary, but they've definitely been a lot better.

Harrison Smith was an awesome pickup. I think he should get most of the credit for the improved secondary. We haven't had a safety this good since Sharper left.

Winfield is also having an awesome year, but I'm not sure how much longer he can go. And Cook, as talented as he is, always seems to be involved in some off-field issues or is injured. It's a pretty strong draft for corners this year. Milliner looks to be out of reach, but landing someone like Banks would be great as well.

The O-line is shaping up really nicely. Kalil has been great as expected, and Sullivan is becoming quite a star at center. The guards aren't great but they're not bad. I still don't like Loadholt. Overall though, it's a pretty solid unit.

I couldn't care less about retaining Gerhart. He's ok, but I think we could find a better option as a potential third down back. With AP there, as long as you find a back that excels in blocking and/or receiving, I'm fine with that.

Harvin is a must, as well as finding some other veteran to come in at receiver. The receiving core is bad enough with Harvin in the lineup.

Oh, and cut Carlson for ****'s sake. That should have been done ages ago.

harrison smith is great minus some rookie tackling issues

Phil Loadholt a lot better in run protection then pass, i don't think he's a detriment as much as fusco is turning out to be.

Gerhardt isn't explosive but i think he's the type of back who will always give you a 3rd and short. Might do better if given more snaps to get a rhythm but who knows.

Cook shut down megatron and fitzgerald while playing. He's like the e.j henderson equivalent in corner, super strong but always injured.

Carlson and Simpson have been awful busts. I think we get a deep threat receiver we would be pretty good. Have a number 1 reciever, than harvin in the slot, and jarius wright wide with rudolph would be pretty dynamic.

Yep, token Canadian guy here.

I just saw an article on nfl.com that said that Minnesota was by far Canada's favourite NFL team. It makes sense for the Prairie Provinces, but I thought Green Bay would eat into a lot of their Ontario votes. I'm surprised New England didn't beat them out. The Patriots should dominate Quebec, the East and even some of Ontario, and then you'd get a lot of miscellaneous votes because they're actually relevant.

Harvin done for the year with what they're just calling an ankle injury (rumours about it being a ligament tear). There goes any kind of hope for this season, I guess.
