The Beijing coverage was similar, the BBC had its schedule for the main channel (BBC1 oe BBC2) and also you could choose from other sports live at the time behind the red button. I don't think the red button service was quite as good as it was this time though. I mean, this year you could open the A-Z of sports, see what was live at that current time and play it. It covered, as far as I'm aware, absolutely everything. Really cant complain with that.

I worked there, and know loads of people working on the BBC feeds and I can truly say I am proud to have been a part of it!

BBC coverage was fantastic, and ironically, you should have seen the amount of room NBC had for their setup in the park compared to channels like the BBC and then compare coverage.

Outstanding work! THIS is why we pay a licence fee.

I thought NBC's coverage was pretty good actually. I only get BBC Canada and they weren't showing a lot of the Olympics so I can't compare it, really. The Canadian channel was excellent as well.

I'll be watching the paraolympics this year too, I don't care much for athlete names though but I will be following it. They should be celebrated just as much as normal olympians if not more.

As an outsider perspective I thought this was the best Olympics in years. I was impressed with the coverage, as bad as the spoilers were at times. Lots of great memories as Mojo so elegantly put it. I agree with Urban the first time Marathon winner, winning the first gold in his countries history was a pretty awesome experience to watch unfold.

Well done UK.

Yeah I usually found out results before I got to watch the actual event. Damn you London, for being 5 hours ahead!

BD....twice that i recall they showed inspirational commercials of the person winning sometimes moments before the event :)

i felt the coverage was probably great.....it's just that i get off work at 4am....wake up at 3pm and get to work around 8pm....so basically i watched a lot of water polo....

The opening ceremony this year is great ! Everything was shown during the ceremony, from the landmarks, to the artists, songs, culture, technology and everything. It was totally cool. And the olympic games went perfectly. So many records have been broken and there are many achievements for many countries participated. And the closing was fine, but I think there're too much of singing, but it's just an opinion. Overall, it's been a great olympic and I will surely wait for the next one, in Brazil, right?:D
