This is what the piano scarf is supposed to look like, except longer. I think hers is going to be about 5 feet long.

Meh, I'm working on a scarf made from random bits of my girlfriends stash. I like knit wear a lot but I refuse to pay $400, even for those super sweaters & cardigans from Gudrun & Gudrun. On a side note, knit wear looks superior to every sort of coat & it doesn't make that annoying swish-swish-swish noise.

^^^ the above sweater is one of the coolest I've ever seen.

I never guessed you for a sweater guy, Mr. Cosby.

I'd probably wear something like this, but not for 170.00.

sorry to necro a thread!
I'd just come across an interesting, albeit new-agey at times article on the therapeutic benefits of knitting.
knitonthenet :: Therapeutic Knitting

I'd like to come out and say I started knitting therapeutically to distract myself from my headaches. I've been getting bad headaches for years and so far knitting has been prettey effective. I'm all just like "I can't think about pain right now! I have yarn overs to do!"

I know how to knit but gave it up. I love having custom-made mice that look like them and knits in the shape of human food they can't have.
For myself I want a knitted summer dress but they start at $500. I spend that much on other ppl but never myself. IDK why

You should post your progress of my hat.

I can't fucking figure out how to knit in rounds with circular needles. Like I'm not sure how to make a seamless join to make a tube. I can knit a tube, like leg warmers, with 4 dpns seamlessly, but I'm not sure if it's the same on circular needles.

Gawd, this is probably so simple. :(

You just keep knitting, likenyou would dpns!

D'oh. I think I just had a brain freeze. It's my first time knitting with circular needles. I guess it would be a good idea to mark the beginning of the round with a stitch marker.
