It is absolutely a fine art! (all the fine detailing, the intricacies and the sheer amount of time involved in making something which, in addition to being visually pleasing, also needs to drape over the body in just the right way) Or at least it can be, anyway. Just look at the dresses in Guillermo del Toro's movies! Seamstresses have been woefully underappreciated throughout history. It'll never die off, because seamstresses and tailors will always be in demand. (Especially in film and theater) It's merely not a widespread/popular skill or pastime in America and certain places. But I don't think it's as uncommon as you think, especially in rural areas. And then there's an entire sea of Etsy seamstresses who do historical reproductions and the like.

I'm just as sad about this as I was when the iron was retired and replaced with a cat...

Good marketing tactic imo. I'm going to go buy five sets with thimbles while I can still find them.

Lame... thimble was the best piece.

Speak for yourself. I'm devastated.

Something about the wheelbarrow always seemed appealing :-)

The dog, every single time I've played over the last 25 years!
