Yeah I can appreciate the technology, sexiness of certain models and general appeal, just not my thing.

I like Jeeps, 4x4s type cars as well. Them big ones. If money was no object I'd be driving round in something like this:

My buddies and I are more into classic American muscle / old trucks, but we can certainly appreciate a beautiful vehicle of any type or age when we see it. I'm sure we'd all be more into sports cars if they felt attainable or if we knew somebody that owned one. I could only imagine how much fun it would be to rip around in one of those McLarens.

I hear you, there does seem to be less attainable sports cars out there than there was a ten years ago, especially after GM & Dodge underwent bankruptcy restructuring. The loss of Pontiac was a shame, they made some good affordable sports cars.

Nervetheless, there are still a lot of affordable used sports cars on the market, and I'll be going through all the coupe's, but yes, the days of a 22 year old being able to drive home a Ford Mustang are gone unfortunately.

As for old American muscle I'll be covering that to, I take it those are the cars and trucks of your friends. The blue one looks like it says Camero on the side, but it looks like a 70 Chevy Nova? The black one looks supercool, Camero?

I also recognize the scenery, are you underneath the Portella or Port Mann Bridge? I grew up in the Surrey area, but live downtown these days, don't get out to the burbs much anymore.

I know it's hard when your in your 20's financially, but if you can find a way to hold onto those cars, you might want to. The more the decades roll on the rarer and more expensive they will become.

Good eye, you're within 100 km, and that spot does bear a strange resemblance to the underside of the Port Mann, it's actually the underside of the Agassiz bridge. We're all in Chilliwack, born and raised. I lived in Surrey from 2013 - 2014 while I was going to BCIT but moved back home to Chilliwack in January. The brown and tan truck is my '87 Chevy Scottsdale, the rest belong to my close friends. The blue car is actually a '72 Mercury Comet, the black muscle car is a '68 Oldsmobile Cutlass, the other brown truck is an '85 Ford F-150, and the white and grey truck is a '78 Chevy Blazer. The only vehicle in the crew that comes even close to a performance vehicle is the '68 Cutlass, the owner is a mechanic by trade and it's heavily customized, it's not even street legal but it still comes out to play every once in a while, the perks of rural neighborhoods. All of us only own/drive classics, even as commuters, and we'll stubbornly continue on this way until it financially or physically cripples us.

Ah Oldsmobile, my friend use to have a suped up Monte Carlo, we cremated a Honda Prelude in a drag race either on the Georgia Viaduct, or Cambie Street bridge, can't remember....but as the passenger I thought I was going to die that night.

Chilliwak's cool, I like it out there, very down to earth, my parents use to take me to Cultus Lake a lot when I was little. I hear there is a growing gang problem out there though, with the gentrification of the city, apparently all the junkies are getting pushed out to Mission and Abbotsford.

So strange, completely different from when I grew up. I walk down gastown now and its all high priced resteraunts. Anyways thanks for the compliment, if you like muscle cars you'll like the next entry, cheers.

I took the opportunity to give it a little test drive one day, since he was constantly asking me if I wanted to. So, I pulled out onto the road out front of our shop/office, and mashed the accelerator down as hard as I could. In about 7 seconds I was doing over 100mph. I almost **** my pants. Really cool ride, with 2 factory subs in the trunk, and the LCD display has settings for just about every aspect of the powertrain. Carbon fiber accents all over it too. Still, I'd rather have a Ford Raptor.

Yep the Dodge Challenger is one hardcore muscle car, I'll be covering it soon, just bogged down with work at the moment.

I wasn't originally going to do trucks, (not my field of expertise) but there seems to be a lot of fanfare for them on here, so I may make some changes.
