9 games unbeaten Not playing too well and still winning. I think we will steal that fourth spot. Big Jon Carew to come back too and no top 4 team for 4 games!

Jon Carew to come back... Eduardo, Walcott, Fabregas, Gallas and EVENTUALLY Rosicky to come back Plus the imminent arrival of Arshavin, i think as the season goes on Villa will find it harder and harder. You've been awesome up till now i'll give you that, but you havent got much strength in depth. If Young, Agbonlahor or Barry get injured who have you got to come in?

I wouldn't be too sure Stu.
If Villa concentrate on their bread and butter games and capitalize on the top 4 tripping each other up in their head to heads they're in with a great chance of a Euro spot.

I have to say i'm confident, concentrating on your bread and butter games is all well and good, but a squad of Villa's size can only do so much, eventually they will tire, the pressure of having to get a result week in week out will take its toll. Theyre a young side who havent been in such a situation before. I know we're young ourselves but the players do have some experience under their belts. We have quite a few first team, offensively effective players to come back and i think theres a new found determination after the ****ty first half of the season we've had. And dont forget, Vill still have to play Man Utd and Liverpool away as well as Chelsea at home. Just like we do.

Assuming Arsenal and Villa win the ones they should, or all being equal.
Then looking at the top 4 fixtures you both have to play, remembering Villa have a 3 point lead over Arsenal...I know where my money would go.

Villa
Aston Villa v Chelsea
Liverpool v Aston Villa
Man Utd v Aston Villa

Arse
Liverpool v Arsenal
Arsenal v Chelsea
Man Utd v Arsenal

And don't forget the pressure of the Euro games to come.

As i've said already, ignoring the games against the top 3, i still dont think Villa have the resources to keep up the form they've showed thus far. It looks to me as if they have peaked too early, if one of their main players get injured they have nobody to come in, they've been so lucky with injuries thus far. If Arsenal perform in the second half of the season like they did in the fitst half Villa (or Everton) will take it, but i dont think it will. We shall have to see. Europe isnt THAT much of a pressure really, we've been in Europe 10 yeas running, we should be able to cope with that by now.

Still it's a worry less for Villa.

Plus you realise you've only won 4 games away from home all season so far. That's Hull City form. And to pip Villa you'll need to win one of those top 4 games that are away from home. Either Lcantsayitpool or United!

It's about time someone else muscled in on the top 4 and hopefully we will do it but if not, I do think that Villa are building for the future and we are going to be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years.

We have'nt got the squad but there is no expectation on our shoulders at all, that's why we are playing good foootball.

There might be room for you both yet.
