Surely home grown means from the youth ranks?
If not, then non of them come from Trafford. And you'd be right.

Edit: Who watched the semi-final?

I caught it on Radio 5. Unlucky man. Win or lose, English or otherwise, penalties are no way to decide a match's outcome.

I actually thought Everton deserved it. Right about penalties though...no way to decide a match, never was really.

Disappointed with the starting line up what with 7 team changes.
As for Berbatov...the less said about him the better.

I had a dream, that Man Utd would only win the LC this season...

vidic nominated for PFA Player of the Year...I would vote for him just for this performance

You forgot the other nominees;

Rio Ferdinand
Ryan Giggs
Cristiano Ronaldo
Edwin van der Sar

that's because I think that these four are actually very good footballers...Ryan Giggs is in my top 10 fav player's of my lifetime, despite the fact that I'm a die hard Liverpool supporter

I watched it and can't believe that it was the same team (everton) that were all guns blazing at Villa. It was an OK game. Berbatov=useless penalty.

and so was Cahill's...that's not the way to take a penalty...reminded me of Baggio's effort in the 94 WC final...too much power without even thinking about aiming somewhere

@brightspark: I happen to think Vidic is a better centre half than Ferdinand.
And the performance your referring to was his comeback from injury match...not fully fit.
He's strong, brave, a great header of a ball and capable of scoring from corners. Something Ferdinand has yet to do in his entire United career.
