i think it's funny we've been grouped with australia, half the australian squad is of croatian desent (Kalac,Viduka, Culina, Skoko, Popovic, Covic and Bresciano ) and 3 australians of croatian desent are playing for Croatia (Joey Didulica from Geelong, Joe Simunic from Canberra and Ante Seric from Sydney)

This just said on Sky.....

"Robbie Savage has never been sent off in his professional career"

No f*cking way can that be true

Can it?

Sent off for Wales vs Northern Ireland but that was later rescinded, mainly because he didn't actually do anything.

So no, he's never officially been sent off.

The Manchester Derby - Sat 14th January 2006

As a Manchester City Fan I am over the (Blue) Moon today after thrashing the enemy 3-1 at The City of Manchester Stadium yesterday.

Manchester United were very poor but I can take great pride in knowing that we made them play badly as we played them off the park (Sylvestre was terrible).

First half goals from Sinclair and Vassell gave us the upper hand at the break.

Van-Nistleroy netted a nice one to pull one back for United but City's Onslaught continued and culminated in a late goal by Fowler to reinforce the City domination of this, the 145th Manchester Derby.

Manchester City - The Pride of Manchester

Right Track - There's always next season :)

First half goals from Sinclair and Vassell (BOTH ADMITTEDLY OFFSIDE BY MILES) gave us the upper hand at the break.

However United are the superior team despite this lucky result, which we never deserved.

How I wish I had been born a Red. :(

My unreserved apologies, I hope it never happens again.

Accurate description Dezzy! ;)

*mumbles something about 2 offsides and a sending off that was unjust*

franscar 01-15-2006 06:58 AM

The irony of it all being that once again Steve Bennett gets himself the headlines.

He is an absolutely pitiful excuse for a referee. He saw Ronaldo go into the challenge and he thought "Yes, I've got an excuse to take an absolute age milking this one and then give him a red. Oh boy oh boy oh boy."

The fact that he barely made contact and Andy Cole jumped straight back up to get on with the match didn't enter his head for a second.
