Don't get me wrong, I like Michael Owen. Even when he was at Liverpool I was like damn, he's good. But I mean United fans were split, some were really pissed off because he was ex scouse and he got the #7 shirt. Others thought like you, proven goal scorer. And then there was people like me who had the opinion good singing IF he can keep fit.. but unfortunately that didn't happen and we were really showed up with our strength in depth in the striking department. If we lose the league we can give all the excuses under the sun, but the bottom line is Chelsea had Drogba out as well as on international duty.. they did more than fine without him. Because they had Anelka.. We didn't have that and I feel we'll pay because of it.

Villa one nil down at H-T and I bet O Neill STILL won't make any substitutions which is slowly proving his downfall I fear.

Latics drawig goalless with Pompey at half-time themselves, both Scharner and Scotland missing absolute sitters.

If neither of them leave this summer I'll, I dunno, go on strike or something.

I think Chelsea will slip up.

Playing at Anfield in Liverpool's final home game of a disappointing season for them is never easy.

BBC Sport - Football - Wigan 0-0 Portsmouth

Useless twats

I still think we'll stay up, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't starting to lose confidence.

Terrible result for the Wiganers. Down and out Pompy looking towards a cup final as their only highpoint for the season.. 0-0. Slippery slope Bulldog

I blame Jason Scotland - that man couldn't hit a barn door with a frying pan.

Really hope it doesn't come to the drop though, if only to confound all the jealous nobcheese fans of various lower league, supposedly bigger clubs for another year running. 4 more points, or at least a win over Hull, and I think we've done it again.

Diouf vs Jason Scotland, give them both a spade and see who hits the barn door first. I like how young players who aren't very good get branded as 'raw', as they get older they just get branded as shit. Unless of course they improve..

I wish you the best of luck. Some of Wigan's play can be awful. But I'd rather West Ham or Blackburn fuck off. Especially Blackburn, can't stand them.

Thanks, we're gonna need it! The performance against Pompey was actually quite good, it's just a shame a lot of the opportunities we got fell to that corpse of a striker Scotland. Scharner missed one or two sitters too.

And, yeah, watching Blackburn play is like watching paint dry (only with a less-interesting brand of attacking football). Same with Bolton.

Yeah, I can see that too. Arsenal are gone and, if Rooney makes it back in time for the derby, it's all to play for with the title. He probably will, in which case United are more than capable of grabbing all 3 at Eastlands. Either way, it'll be a terrific game.
