after seeing carroll mess up week in and week out for liverpool and seeing demba ba turn into a goal scoring machine for newcastle, im losing all hope with liverpool, especially since we're losing suarez for 8 games now.

Any Arsenal fan must have teared up when Thierry Henry slotted that one home.

It's practically made my year already, and yes, I did have a lump in my throat. Henry is without doubt my absolute favourite player of all time. And, as an Arsenal fan that grew up with him as the side's talisman, seeing him score last night was just... Ah, words can't describe. Pure nostalgia. The guy is a god in my eyes.

.......and slotted another easy one against a hopeless Blackburn yesterday.

Absolutely thrilling game against Chelsea today. I know it's not done our title hopes much good, but the game was very entertaining and almost nailbiting for the last ten minutes, which is what the game is all about. I'd rather we drew but had a great game than won from a single penalty in the first twenty minutes. I feel quite pleased.

Fabio Capello quits as England manager, does this means that England's chances at 2012 are even more buggered than they were, thoughts?

Personally, I'm glad to see the back of him, but there's a lot to this story. On the outside, I understand many people were frustrated with the disappointing result at the world cup, and others were annoyed that for an England manager he was barely able to speak English, but my problem is really neither of those.

I find the way he as a manager conducts the teams to be very unsatisfactory: the complete imposition of his ideas about the way the team should be organised is just a bit too assertive, and I find the result not to be an orderly team but entirely demotivational - there's no drive for the players. I know having a team run wild like England under Sven Joran Ericsson was bad too, but we don't need either of these extremes.

Who do we want to see as the next gaffer? I know Harry Redknapp is the favourite, but who should really get the job?

Goofle 02-09-2012 12:01 PM

The team will need a motivator more than anything else, because the team is very average in too many areas.

Martin O'Neill is that man. But we know his situation.

I'll go with Hoddle.
