What would be the return on that bet? Could be a good investment, ha!

You'd get a ridiculous amount. A multi of those scores with a £5 stake would return £36,300.

Sunderland/Norwich 1-0 @ 13/2
Spurs/Fulham 2-0 @ 7/1
Chelsea/W.Ham 1-1 @10/1
Wigan/N'Castle 1-1 @ 10/1

As a multi the odds are 7259/1, that's with William Hill.

There was that bloke who predicted those Champions League scores a month or so back, think it was the scores to four or five games, or a combination of CL games and other games but it was definitely 4 or 5 games in the bet. They all came through apart from the last, which he had 2-0 Barca for the Milan/Barca game at the San Siro, which they obviously lost. Got free tickets to the return leg though, and the potential prize was £1,000,000. 1 game away from a million quid. Bet he felt sick. Although hopefully he was advised correctly as he could have made strategic bets to cover other markets.

Damn.

Might start putting down £1 bets on multiples, it's got to be a better return than the lottery! (not that I play that either)...

Maybe for the world cup...so it doesn't become a habit.

Yeah I know loads of people winning on accumulators. I'd like to study betting properly to maximise profit but don't have the time. I've only ever put one bet on in my life that was a risk. It lost.

Think the best thing to do would be a treble with the 3rd team playing on the day after the other two. So far example, you bet on United and Villa to both win today (which they did) then Spurs tomorrow. Then the first two have came in so you bet against Spurs or lay the bet = guaranteed profit.

Great to see the old fighting spirit at Villa! Few weeks ago we would have drawn or even lost in the last ten minutes, but we kept our shape --- despite a few scares --- and should have had a penalty anyway, still managed to get three beautiful, precious, valuable points. Ain't it great to see your team suddenly ABOVE the relegation line? If only for a while...

Weimann was superb. Benteke could have been better but he did the biz and old campaigner Abonglahor came through for us once again. LOL at Lambert climbing on the back of whoever's number two at Villa when we scored the third goal!

City were ****e: they in no way deserve any chance at the title. They were all over the place, and as for Liverpool, well...

Mind you, Man U were well below par too. Difference is they still won their game.

Probably should be in the RIP thread, but most people would say "who"?

Tony Gubba: One*of the great voices of football dies, aged 69 - Others - More Sports - The Independent

So sad. I remember watching him on the odd "Match of the day", though I didn't know him as well as like Des or Gary. Sad, sad, so young... :(

Well the F.A are an absolute joke and all deserve to burn. Mcmanaman can't be banned retrospectively for his reckless tackle on Haidara because an official saw it and that counts as "dealing" with it. However when our coach John Carver quite rightly berated the wigan lad for possibly ending a fellow professional's career and showing absolutely no remorse for it-he gets sent to the stand. That's fair enough. But now he can be retrospectively banned further, even though it was dealt with by the officials on the day?

Absolute ****ing travesty.

BBC Sport - West Ham get Olympic Stadium after government ups funding

Quote:

West Ham will be anchor tenants for the Olympic Stadium after the government agreed to put in an extra £25m towards the costs of converting the venue.

They will move in from August 2016 and pay around £2m a year rent.
99 year lease. Another brilliant football stadium bites the dust. Just because some knobhead thinks it's a good idea to play in a half empty state of the art stadium which is a waste of money anyway and should never have been built. It will be an awful, soulless place to watch football.

And here's the new England shirt. Nike are awful.

You have to laugh though at the irony of the Northern Ireland game being called off due to snow --- against Russia?? Can you just imagine those guys?

"Hey, zis is nothink! Back in Vladivostok I go JOGGING when it ees like this!"

I'd have gone with a snow off in the Scotland game. a 2-1 defeat at home to the mighty footballing nation of Wales. another international competition Scotland won't be turning up for.
