Good news lads:

Tekkers has signed a 4 year contract

So one more year, hopefully a good season and good WC then he'll be sold for 20m+ more than likely. But delighted to have him for another season anyway. And also fuck off Tottenham for tapping him up.

Come at us.

I saw that earlier on today, do you think its another Rooney situation, the player gets an extra £20 grand a week but he's still very pissed off and villa have only postponed him leaving for another year?

Surely a club like Aston Villa should be able to attract a quality striker that actually wants to play for them and isn't only there for the money. I'd have sold him and bought Rhodes from Blackburn.

Yeah, he's obviously been told that if he gives us another season and signs a contract so we get more money for him, then he can go.

All players are only there for the money though, the problem with us is we can't currently give players the success or platform (Europe) for them to stay once a club that can shows interest in them.

We are undoubtedly big but who wants to fight relegation or finish mid table every year?

I expect both deals to happen.

Arsenal being linked to Brazilians Bernard and Gustavo. Would prefer Bernard (if I had to choose one) but if we only sign one attacker, then Gustavo makes a lot of sense. Wilshere CAM (prefer him CM) and Gustavo CM with Ramsey.

Losing 1.0 away at Walsall in a pre-season friendly, apparently we made them look like Brazil. Neil Warnock has a lot to answer for, we cant get rid of the utter garbage he signed this time last year.

I was hoping three or four hundred Leeds fans would have gone to Birmingham to give the EDL a good kicking, apparently the filth wouldn't allow it. Shame it wasn't Leeds coppers they usually let Leeds fans have half an hour kicking heads in when Millwall come to Leeds ( if you can catch them, cockneys are good runners), far too pink and liberal this country these days.

ps. I almost forgot to mention, how ridiculous is that new Aston Villa away kit and why does pub team spring to mind whenever I see it.

Suarez and Bernard would be pretty awesome for us. Not sure how likely it is, but Suarez in particular would put up in that next level.

Bernard signing would also signify Wilshere moving to a deeper position which I think is necessary. He was atrocious playing attacking midfield.
