I'll bet you literally anything on the planet that Mbappé will have a significantly better career barring injury. He's clearly a completely different level.

very possible.

martial had very similar stats while with monaco though and looked like he was absolutely destined for huge things in the future.

united mishandled him and over paid for him though which has led to a disappointing start to his career, even though he had a lot of brilliant moments during his first season there which i'm sure you're aware of.

anyway, like i admitted, i'm biased. but you are too if you refuse to acknowledge the high chance that mbappe ends up a flop with the price tag that's being thrown around right now. he looks great, but he's had one breakthrough season in a different league in a different country. far too early to merit anything near what clubs are going to end up paying.

A high price tag is only going to hinder mentally weak players who haven't done anything to deserve the tag. He's a title winner and scored goals in the Champions League against great teams. Also comes across as having a great attitude.

Not a problem whatsoever. And if he signs for Arsenal (I very much doubt it will happen) he will be scoring pretty much every game.

The money in football is insane. Teenagers having one good season and fees of £100m+ being quoted.

Not a dig at anyone or anything in particular, but that is ****ing crazy.

As for the quality of Mbappe, until he does it for a full second season then there are still question marks over him for me.

basically the same as the pogba situation except even less proven.

he could be an incredibly solid player for the next 5 years but if he isn't the best striker in the world by his early 20s can anyone say he's worth over 100mil? if you're the most expensive, you're expected to be the best. simple as that.

Goofle 06-07-2017 04:37 AM

Based on the evidence provided I would argue that there's nothing to suggest he will be the best striker in the world for a long time.

then why pay that much for him? kinda proves my point.

Cuthbert 06-07-2017 11:28 AM

I think he meant to say the opposite.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 06-07-2017 12:08 PM

i assumed, but i think we all know that is going off an incredibly small sample size.
