good point actually. laca has been kind of ****e internationally meanwhile Giroud is still fairly effective for the francs.

he scores a lot from tap-ins and penalties which has led to him having a fairly high goal conversion rate and therefore people overrating him. i think he'll do pretty decently in the prem because he's strong and quick. probably won't be much better than Giroud though in all reality.

They need someone else as well. Unbelievable money they are spending. Imagine they did this when they sold Ronaldo instead of pocketing the £80m/signing Obertan, Valencia and Owen. Sneijder and Robben would have been immense.

Anyway like I said surprised they are spending so much now.

really? im not surprised. Ed Woodward is a daft **** who will cut a check of any size just to make a signing. as a football fan it's disgusting to see, but as a manchester united fan it's just disappointing because it hasn't worked out much in the last few.

personally i would like us to get Talisca and Fabinho both. a nicely skilled cam who could replace Mata after next season and a strong athletic CDM who can be rotated with Carrick.

we'll see what happens though.

nice work mate

i think Carrick will go down like Paul Scholes on a lesser scale.

not a player with a ton of single honours, but if you watch him play you instantly understand how important he is to the team and how they perform. he's still pretty damn impressive considering his age.

he'll take over as captain next year for the entire season and should do a great job with it.
