For me the best move has to be Bent to Sunderland. Even before last nights hat trick he's been quality for the black cats all year, and Valencia is gonna be a quality investment by fergie. Worst moves were, as stated above xabi, and glen Johnson.

Can't argue with those picks, so I'll just talk about Wigan players. Even then, it's hard to pick some considering they've been having just about the weirdest season ever.

Anyway, Gary Caldwell's defensive displays have been pretty impressive since he joined up, James McCarthy has bags of potential and ditto for Victor Moses. Mo Diame and Hendry Thomas are looking pretty solid in midfield too.

As for the worst, while he hasn't been terrible, Jordi Gomez has been disappointing after a promising start. I can count a few times when he's come off the bench and totally disrupted our flow. As for Jason Scotland, if you put a dead body in the opposing penalty area, statistically speaking the ball will hit it a few times over 90 minutes. Frankly, that's more than Jason can manage.

And, while he's not new, watching Charles N'Zogbia's emergence as a player this season's been pretty good viewing.

The impressive thing about Wigan`s transfers are without doubt their latin american connection: 3 Hondurans (Palacios, Figueroa, Thomas) and a Columbian (Rodallega) and an Ecuadorian (Valencia) have all passed through the team in recent seasons and have been a success in the English game, a pretty impressive achievement given that the English game is so much faster than what they`re used to.

Obviously it has been done to death now but Richard Dunne from Man City to The Villa, what a bargain and he has been top class this season, maybe not as spectacular as of late, but lots of clean sheets, a good leader and a CB who chips in with some goals(Chelsea at Villa park ect...) What more could you ask for.

We definitely lost out by selling Barry though, such a top class player. . . But no grudges, he served the club well and deserves all the respect he gets.

EDIT: I personally think Scotland is the worst player in the premier league. WHAT A PILE OF ****! He couldn't score a goal, or touch the ball for more than 5 seconds in most cases without pissing up.

Yep, they`ve made some pretty woeful transfers over recent seasons, kind of reminds me of the really bad transfers that Newcastle used to make a couple of seasons ago when they were in the top flight.

Poor old Scotland, I think people are being unecessarily critical of the poor guy, just needs a bit a confidence and he`ll be banging in 30 goals a season.

City without doubt have missed Dunne as Toure has just not been able to adapt at City.

No, in all seriousness, I hope he proves me wrong next year and gets 10 goals for the season or something... That is if Wigan keep him. Another disappointment is Ebanks-Blake, I thought he was going to band in goals left right and center, maybe next season will be easier for him.

That is true. The city back 4 this season as a whole have been quite shocking at times. I don't even want to think what would happen if they didn't have 'al most defensive player in football on their team' i.e. De Jong. Gotta dig him!
