World Cup 2018 thread

gonna be a weird WC next year. are the powers of the football world finally being brought down? it’s definitely interesting when you consider the runs of teams like Wales, Iceland, Egypt, and now Sweden versus the disappointing runs by teams like Italy, Argentina and co.

Na, a couple of the top teams have missed out. Usually always one of them does.

The winner will be one of:

Germany, France, Brazil, Spain, Argentina

As it usually is.

Wasn't there a year when Brazil, no I think Argentina did really badly and they wouldn't let them back into the country? Or did I dream that?

Are you on about Colombia (USA '94)? If I remember correctly, the team was advised not to go back to Colombia until it had died down a bit. Andres Escobar went home and was murdered.

Argentina will not win the world cup this year. they are the Liverpool of national teams. their starting XI gets worse as you move down.

Amazing wingers
Pretty solid midfield
Lacklustre defense

Republic of Ireland vs Denmark, 19:45pm kick off Dublin time. Which is the same as London but I think people need to be reminded of this.

0-0 from the first leg. Please don't torture us with another 0-0.

I think the Boys In Green will score and not concede. It will be 1-0 and they will qualify for the World Cup.

Hopefully a good game.
