yeah the distortion variety is pretty awesome... i just use the big muff on the clean and the od1/od2 for metal so that i dont have to **** round with the eq... plus the big muff is like sex in a box....

And the band only uses sunnO))) amps.

Anyways what is a good half-stack that is fairly priced? It doesn't have to have a bunch of bells and wistles just some good volume and duribility.

yeah big muffs are the madnote. i did have a boss metalzone then i was playing through a solid state fender, but it was pretty weak. that one of the few things i don't like about the AVT, is that there isn't seperate EQ's for od1 and od2, and it doesnt have a contour control...

a b-52 100W halfstack is a good buy, and has a decent sound so i hear. nothing fancy though. if you want to spend a little more, i'd recommend a marshall VS100RH halfstack.

I don't know a lot about speaker placement but if you put the vocal monitors higher than your amps they should project more.

Fender Ultimate Chorus combo amp w/ three-way footswitch. Solid state, 65 watts/channel, onboard delay, chorus, flange, and reverb. 2 12-inch Eminence speakers.

Excellent amp...it's taken a lot of punishment and road use, and always sounds good. For a solid, it's got surprisingly warm tone to it, especially on overdrive.

^i believe my friend has that exact amp. great tone. overall great amp. could use a little more distortion on the gain channel, but i like that better than what ive got.
