Questions on using two mixers at once

Is it possible to use two amped mixers inline with each other? Right now we have one mixer (Behringer Europower PMP5000) and we actually still need more inputs for additional microphones. I am considering buying another powered mixer (PMP1000) and running them inline with each other. Both mixers going to the same speakers. Can this be done?

I don't know much about that mixer, but because of the fact that it's powered and the main outs would be at speaker level output, I'm assuming you're worried about whether that output would be too much to input into a pair of line-level inputs on a second mixer, correct?

Are there any summed stereo line-level outputs on your mixer?

I'm really not sure. I'm actually very new to all of this. One tip that I received is to get a mixer that has pre amp outputs on it.

Yes, if you were using two amped mixers in series, you'd have to make sure the outputs in the first amp are bypassing the amplification section on that amp so that your R/L channels inputting into the next mixer in the series are at line level and not overloading your line inputs on the receiving mixer.

As far as using both amped mixers side by side, not in series, you could simply sum both the left main outs together and sum both right main outs together using a reverse splitter, then running that to your right and left speakers.
In theory it should work, but I'm not sure about whether that's going to drive the speakers with double the power and whether the speakers are rated to handle that.

Another scenario is simply using a non-amped mixer in series with your amped mixer, the non amped mixer being the first mixer in the series. The non amped mixer should have line-level main outputs that you can input to two channels on your amped mixer.
Only thing with that is you whether you place any importance on sound differences resulting from using two different mixing boards.

I don't know your application, so I can't really assume much.
Also, I'm not familiar with the Europower amp and whether it has any line-level outputs... If it does, you could definitely use two of those in series to expand your number of channels.
