I tried doing that **** but couldn't get it to work which is why I'm asking for help here.

Were you trying to turn vocals down at the swear words or add in beeps?

Whatever does the trick, I suppose? I'm wondering if it would sound good without having a separated vocal track to work with.

People can isolate other portions of the tracks with isolated tracks..

I thought he was gonna sing it somewhere. He just needs a verison with *bleeps*? Audacity is free, in that case.

Exo, you should totally sing at work. Just belt that **** out.

Must be nice to have a job where you can just play whatever you like.
I recommend Pig Destroyer.

I can't play whatever I like. I like swear words. Hence this thread. Go to bed.

Preferably no beeps. Just muted.

Can't help you. I don't know how to isolate something in the recording.

The Batlord 09-06-2016 05:05 PM

Play this at work. No swear words and it's musically inoffensive.

I've heard of this method before:

... but havent' made it acutally work well. I t depends on where the vocals are placed in the mix, so it doesn't work for all tracks.

Looking around on Youtube, that particular Sturgill song is the one they won't let me download, so I can't run the experiment. Seems like a useful method though.

I tried it and the program wouldn't let me do some functions that were instructed to be done in the how to articles I've found which is why I want somebody to do it for me because I suck.

Here's how to not suck: be sure to hit stop and not pause before doing any edits because it will keep you from doing anything if you have it paused.

I wish someone had told me that tidbit and saved me months of frustration with Audacity.
