Thanks Mucha. I fell in love with that guitar the moment I picked it up, and it was a 'sight unseen' purchase from an elderly fellow on a guitar forum called JamSession that's not around anymore. I trusted him completely though, since we had been online friends for quite a while. He was losing his abilities and he wanted me to have it.

That Tele you have is pretty sweet. Ribbons' too. A while back I was GAS'in for a Tele from DNA Guitars, but I never pulled the trigger.

Been playing guitar for 13 years now. Currently i own A mexican fender Laquer strat, Eastwood sidejack Baritone guitar, my most prized guitar is a 1996 Guild starfire semihollow guitar made in new york. I usually play fender amplifiers, i own a fender deluxe reverb and a copy of a fender deljxe amp, i sometimes play them in stereo mode dry/wet. I'm addicted to pedals so i have lots ant i think i should at least start to make them by myself, because im broke, but i always need them

Smile Trumpet/EVI (Electric Valve instrument)

Hey folks! I've been playing trumpet for about 20 years, a good old Bach Stradivarius 37. In fall of 2020 though, I got myself an EVI (NuEVI to be exact, by Swedish manufacturer Berglund Instruments). If you haven't heard of it, it's a crazy synth trumpet that resembles the three-valve system of a trumpet. It's also the less famous cousin of the EWI (sax version).

Would be awesome to find other people who also plays one of these things! I do have an example of how I use it, with my jazz fusion band Paradise League. Heavily inspired by Japanese jazz fusion I wrote a song called 'Acrobat' with the EVI in mind. The title pays homage to sax/EWI player Masato Honda and his song 'Athlete'. Me and my group recorded a live session video of 'Acrobat', that can be seen on YouTube (search for "Paradise League" and it should be pretty far up).

If you've got some fusion ants in your pants, go check it out! Would be fun to chat about/discuss the instrument, its sound or just the music in general. And of course, everything Japanese jazz fusion!

Cheers!

We have a musical family, if you can call it one. I play guitar, my husband plays drums in his own band.

So I finally got around to learning guitar last year during COVID lockdowns. Bought myself an acoustic, found a teacher (initially over Zoom, now in person), practised every day that I could. Today I picked up a Stratocaster. It's a Squier, it's as old as I am, and it's in need of new strings and a setup. But it still feels like Christmas
