Default Cello

I've been meaning to learn to play the Cello, does anyone here play it??

How would you rate how hard it is to play compared to other instruments?

Cello is my favorite instrument - I picked up the bow once and attempted to play it ---BIG mistake lol. It is quite hard. It is definately an instrument you need lessons for and not to learn on your own. But it may depend, have you ever had violin lessons? That may help a bit, idk.

BTW, have you ever listened to Apocalyptica? Do it!!!

Apocalyptica are originally what got me into Cellos, and then listening to some and then having the Hilltop Hoods doing their "restrung" album, where they got an orchestra to back their music.

And I've been listening to cellos for ages, either way. But I've always loved them.

I've found out here in my town its only $25 per lesson, so I'm going to save up for my cello, which is $850, then get lessons!

i've played cello in high school. it's quite difficult to get good at but i'd recommend you get a teacher at the beginning so you can get all the proper techniques down!

I taught my self to play it. Its just odd going from and E standard tuned bass to a C standard tuned cello. But with some practice you'll get it.

I picked it Up quite quickly on my own just from watching Apolcalyptica All the time.
But if you want take lessons do so.but i'd give it a 4 out of 5 on hardness if you want to try yourself.
