Default Finger picking vs. Hybrid picking

Do you guys prefer to use finger picking or hybrid picking when playin a song?

i personally like to be able to feel the strings but hybrid picking sounds much better when you switch between picking and chords. ( I call it hybrid picking it might be called somethign else in diferent places, basically its when you finger pick with a pick, and when you need to play 2 strings at once you use another finger with the pick) sorry if i worded that oddly...

i like fingerpicking alot better, "hybrid-picking" reminds me too much of sweep picking.

and i fucking hate sweep picking.

Aw, sweep picking, the wankers choice.

I have to say hybrid picking. It allows for more versatility, and overall provides a more unique sound.

well yeah hybrid picking allows for all sorts of stuff and a great sound... but i despise it because i cant feel where all the strings are and have to glance down every now and again to make sure im in the right place..

From the description i don't think hybrid picking is anything like sweeping it sounds more ike basically finger picing with a plectrum in your hand also. I don't quite understand why you wouldn't just finger pick?
