anyways i definately would go into the store... you dont really have to know guitars all that well just strum it open and see how she sounds.. this is rather hard to explain but you can tell which one you like by how "pretty" it sounds... if it sounds like a piece of **** dont get it.

oh and check for a neck bow. you want the strings to be very close to fret board. i borrowed one from a friend that had like a half inch neck bow and it was dreadful. I'd personally start out with the yamahas and ask the store owner about the guitar too.
