Default Changing my bass neck

Hello everyone. I have a Standard mexican Fender Jazz bass and a Fender 51 P bass. I Really like the neck on my 51 P bass but I like the way my Jazz sounds, so I guess my question is; Does anyone know If I could switch the necks? If so got any info how? Ive never attempted anything like this, all help is appreciated.

there shouldn't be much problems in changing those neck.

first thing you'll want to check is how the necks are fastened to their respective bodies. if they're both using a standard rectangular metal plate with 4 bolts in the same position then you're good to go. just take the strings off, unfasten the bolts, and swap the necks.

if they don't both have the same bolting method to fasten the necks to the bodies then you're out of luck.

no worries.

you'll probably want to check the action on your instruments once you swap the necks though. odds are you'll have to make some minor adjustments to get optimal playability.

My advice...don't try it, You could bollock it up and ruin 2 fender basses, that would haunt me in my sleep.
