i'd say the model choice is totally up to you. for my personal preference i wouldn't get a BC Rich, i'm just not that keen on pointy guitars. but i've known more than a few metal heads who swear by them for every kind of metal they play.
musician's friend has tons of options for them too, with obvious levels of quality. although you might have to spend a little more than you're hoping for to get a good one once shipping and taxes are factored in.
