i can agree with that^, much of my favorite music has been outside of what's usually popular, but don't give up hope on the mainstream yet, there's at least a few commercial groups with good music. some of my favorite groups are also rediculously mainstream, so yeah

I think all autographs are lame, I'd much rather have a 30 second conversation or just say hello and thanks to my favorite musicians, entertainers, athletes etc.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

i'm with this also. at the same time though if i was going to get an instrument autographed it WOULD be a 'cheap' guitar because i'd want to keep it as a souvenir, i'm not willing to put a guitar i paid over a grand for on the shelf because of some ink.

I`d let Clapton sign my Strat, but only under the back spring cover.
Knopfler could put his initials on the back of the headstock in tasteful thin ink.

The rest can fk off! My Strat is beautiful as it is!

I had **** Dale sign a Strat mint green pickguard. He likes to stay after his concert and talk to his fans, he's cool that way. It's too important to me to sell.
