Default A new breed of active pickups...

Seymour Duncan is now in the business of active guitar electronics. They've one-up'd EMG by using balanced inputs and claim that their active pickup, the "Blackout" produces 10-12dB less hum and has better lows, better highs, and more total output than it's competitor.

I'm interested. Anyone here have any experience with these yet? I know that Ibanez is factory installing them in the Mick Thompson signature model but I know (/hope) that everyone here has better taste than that. How do they compare to EMGs?

Discuss.

Why do I start what I can't finish?
Oh please, don't barrage me with questions to all those ugly answers.
My ego's like my stomach- it keeps shitting what I feed it.
But maybe I don't want to finish anything anymore..
maybe I can wait in bed 'til she comes home. and whispers....
