![]() At first I tried looking for actual songs or instruments made using the sounds of cigarettes...the gentle sucks, the smooth exhalations, the hacking coughs of cancer victims. Nothing. Then I thought: well, maybe a cigarette is a kind of wind instrument! ![]() Finally, I decided to simply share this music video (below) about cigarettes, because it does include a few hacking coughs (sorry RezZ...I'm trying!). Perhaps people who are trying to stop smoking their primary instrument (their cigarette) could try the clarinet instead, because (as a former avid clarinet player) I know that the clarinet is great for people with oral fixations! You gotta lick it, and suck it, chaw on it sometimes to soften a reed, and hold it in your mouth for the longest time, while fiddling around with it with your fingers. A clarinet is even made from plant material, and so is a cigarette! The major difference is that *usually* a clarinet sounds better than a cigarette. Not always, but often. I prefer the sound of a violin to the sound of a cigarette, though. You can hear the violin, my primary instrument, in this song: Cigarette - an annoying, pathethic wind instrument: ![]() Clarinet - sometimes an annoying, pathethic wind instrument: ![]()
