I dont get how you do that. I get annoyed with 9's and even 10's because they feel so thin and noodly.

Low E (6) string for me, i play death metal, mostly breaks by palm muting.

You're almost certainly hitting it vastly too hard. Calm down. Remember that after a point, hitting a string harder doesn't result in any extra volume or improved tone, its just wasted effort.

I also play 8s, I used to string mine with 11s but the neck was bending

i was playing a lot of blues those days so I need the thick woman sound, ha ha ha
