Hey guys,
Long time stalker of the forum, first time poster. I'm looking at getting a new guitar. The one I have now I've had for the past 4 years. An Ibanez - big, bulky and hard to play. It was my first guitar so I didn't really do any research, I just got the prettiest one in the shop. It's the guitar I've learnt on, which has been no easy feat. I've got some calluses but the fret board is still a pain in the behind. I'm looking at getting something a bit smaller than a full size guitar, preferably making it easier to play and easy to travel with. It'll be used as my main guitar though, so obviously I want to get the best sound possible. I've been looking seriously at the Taylor GS Mini. Alot of great reviews and sounds like it fits my criteria - easy to play, easy to travel with and great sound. However, like the title - there are many other options. I'd be very appreciate of any advice you could all give me. Thanks in advance! |

So I don't have much experience with the Little Martin, but I'm very familiar with both Taylor Guitars.
First of all - you can't go wrong with either the Big Baby or the GS Mini. Both are great guitars. Most people prefer the GS Mini, though, citing a more full sound despite a smaller body. The GS Mini is also designed to add an aftermarket pickup to plug in. |
