I got tickets to go see the Steve Gadd Band this Friday night. The subject of Dave Weckl came up, & he'll be here next spring.

let a metronome become your best friend, however, try playing without the click where it'll fade in and out for some measures

Not sure what app does that..I'm sure one of them does though

Start with bands with more or less "basic" drums..Creedance is a great start and I'd even venture to say Gorillaz, AC/DC, The White Stripes just to name a few. Good luck and remember, what you put in you get out
