Default Harmonica beginner

Hey, I've just recently bought a harmonica, and I really want to learn how to play it properly.

Any of you harmonica players? Any ideas on where should I start?

What kind did you get? You can do a lot with a chromatic harmonica.

I've got two diatonic harmonicas, one in C and the other one in F

I didn't know much when I went to the store, but I've read that diatonic are the "basic" ones

Blow on it brother.

The way you use your hands is similar to how a mouth's embouchure. I recommend playing with both to find the sweet spots of your harmonica, then just apply your general understanding of rhythm/melody and so on to it once you get some technique under your belt.

So I should actually be using my hands as some sort of wah pedal/resonator?

I though the sound is only in the movements of the mouth (and the tongue)

I learned by ear playing harmonica riffs I recalled and then going from there to just match pitch and accompany, it was one of my earliest instruments

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
