haha.

You can't say that a band is great and overrated. For a band to be overrated they have to either be average or shit.

Pffft no, a band can be both. Such is the case that their ratings outweigh their greatness.

It doesn't mean they're not great, it just means they're portrayed as greater then what they actually are.

Nirvana is a pretty good example of this. Great band, but not great to the extent that so many people make them out to be.

Even though I like (some of) their music, I have to agree with what some people have said -- Creed = overrated. The only two decent songs of theirs that I've heard are Higher and With Arms Wide Open.

And, of course, Linkin Park. How "Crawling" ever won a Grammy, I'll never know. It causes crawling in my skin to even consider it. "In The End" was a pretty good song of theirs... and another was decent, though I can't remember the name... but overall, LP is overrated x 10.

But damn all who said Puddle of Mudd. They're pretty good. They aren't exactly made out to be great/amazing, either, so I think that says they aren't overrated. Yeah, they're not the best by any means, but they aren't overrated.

EDIT: Fixed the award error. They won a Grammy, not an Emmy.

I'm pretty sure it did. Don't hold me 100% accountable to that, but I'm fairly sure that was the case.

...Sh*t, I mean a Grammy. "Crawling" won a Grammy in 2002. Somehow.

Well, it was an extremely popular song by an extremely popular band (Which I like thank you very much *Hmph*)So I'm not surprised they won one for it, but I would've thought it'd be for In The End

They were good at the start, but yes, I would agree that they're over-rated. it's a classic example of what you were talking about earlier, that a band being over-rated doesn't mean that they're Sh*t, it just means that they don't live up to their popularity.
