Most overrated bands ever?

Gotta agree with the notion that Robbie Williams is overrated... always thought he was a bigger brand name than a musical talent...

anything on mtv. ANYTHING. simple plan, soulja boy, the jonas homos, beyonce, new green day, three days grace, nickelback, lady gaga, pussy cat dolls, etc...

all of it is terrible music, simple catchy rhythms with no actual musical talent in any of it and yet they get so much money and publicity. our general population has gotten 100X stupider in the past 10 years.

Yes, it's really sad. Look at all the Idols shows. It's all mediocre which seems to be the rule these days. Real quality gets in trouble finding its way in a sedated market with mediocre crap. It's like with food nowadays. Everything is so full of sugar and salt that people cannot appreciate the real taste anymore because they got used to the crap.

I could make better music out of farting sounds, a dying cat and a broken Atari 2600, which is kinda what it sounds like already.

If you think this band has any shred of musical talent, you are objectively wrong and have awful taste in music. I'm sorry, I can't be nice about this.

I think there's a whole music scene of that kinda thing already so why bother.

But I do want to start an indie band, make the music as sh*tty as possible and become Pitchfork sensations, just to prove a point.
