Oh I'll hurt you, please tell me honeslty how many people you've heard since St. Anger that have said "omg Metallica is the greatest band ever?"

You've heard no one say that, it just didn't happen unless they were kidding. People who thought Metallica was the greatest band ever stop saying it after that album. I know, I was one of them.

Green Day. Mainly because of their fake political attitudes to sell albums. Also, when you get up in front of your friends and fans and say "We will never sell out!" then sign to a major label, that's pretty lame.

Nirvana win this easily. Followed by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon in agreeance, that Nirvana is over-rated. So is Guns N' Roses.

are you out of your mind? zeppelin and floyd are nowhere close to being overrated, when you look at just about any modern band. (Linkin Park, Nickelback, The Killers, Korn, Slipknot, etc.) Everyone needs to realize that the 60's and 70s were the height of rock music, and since then rock just hasnt been the same. Most modern day bands dont have an ounce of talent, and worst of all kids are buying their cds left and right just because they think its cool and dont know any better. Trust me, I was one of them untill i started to learn guitar and realized that most modern rock is so boring. I think all these lame modern day rock bands need to listen to bands like floyd, zeppelin, the stones, cream, the who etc. and learn something. I mean, what happened to having a guitar solo in your song, it seems pretty much out of the question anymore.

I respect your opinion but in my opinion the 60's and 70's weren't the height of rock music.

And who appointed you to say who's talented and who's not? Again it comes down to opinions.

There is no right or wrong answer, it's just opinions.
