I love Zeppelin too but you yourself are beginning to overrate them.

Ac/dc were creative, what are you talking about, how many other bands have the ac/dc sound?

Oh, and Kiss is overrated, IMO. :shycouch:

80's/90's. But then again I'm not a fan of much from the 60's/70's. I find it all mediocre and somewhat boring.

I think the best era of rock was the 60s, rock did alot of growing up during the 60s and got into more serious issues...
Sometimes the 70s music just kind of kills the idea of Rock N' Roll...which is supposed to be derived from the blues...
I think the guitar has been over used and has dampened "Rock" and all it's sub genres...

And most over-rated band in my opinion is Nirvana.

Yeah, I agree Nirvana sucks, but you skipped a couple of decades there...

The 60's also had the beginnings of what is Heavy Metal/Hard Rock today. Bands like Black Sabbath, The Kinks, and Steppenwolf. The 70's had other Hard Rock/Metal acts such as Judas Priest, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Progressive Rock/Metal bands like Yes, Styx, and Rush. Not only that, there were some of the early Punk acts like Iggy Pop and the Ramones. The 80's, where Hard Rock and Metal was in it's hayday, also had more of a blues based sound in the latter part of the decade. The 90's saw the combination of funk and jazz into Rock/Metal, creating what many know today as Nu-Metal. So to spout off and say that that rock is "supposed to" be blues based, is not only incorrect, it's ignorant.

And if you think the 70s were the best decade in Rock, you need to get your head out of the sand and listen to some of the stuff going on today. Apparently you're missing out on alot.

The brillant display of self contradiction here is priceless.
