These guys deserve every bit of credit they get.

Their live performances own. Their hits are infinite. They've been doing it strong for nearly 20years. And their style is non-depeletable. I'd love to know why you think they are overated.

And Tool? 98% of the world doesn't even know who they are. They get piss all ratings. Their fans overhype them, yes, but in general they aren't overated.

Most over-rated of all time IMhO:

Elvis - no songwriting talent of his own, and fat men on barbs shouldn't do kung fu. Should have died tragically in about '63, so we could remember him young and handsome, and avoided all those chubby Las Vegas / cheeseburger era impersonators.

Guns & Roses - respect to Slash, but Axl was always a twat and they weren't doing anything that original in the first place.

Currently most irritating for being over-rated:

David Gray (yawwwwwn)

Craig David (please die you scum)

Coldplay - WTF? This band has totally flown up it's own ass, and the music press has apparently joined them in there. Marcus Brigstock has written a song called "Everything Sounds Like Coldplay Now" and how right he is.

Oh yes, he was a "twat" so clearly they are overrated. Originality is somehow connected to overrated?

Someone post the definitions again, these ****ing newbs are enough to make one claw their own eyes out.

How about you try this one again, the rest of your suggestions weren't bad. But maybe this time how about some germane logic, that would be ****ing swell.

How many people have made posts like "U2 are overrated cuz Bono is a twat" so far?

coldplay and the killers are both overrated i think. Their music is so bland and blah it makes me fall asleep, and not in a good way like PF or the moody blues makes me fall asleep. Also I feel that John mayer is overrated, He is made out to be some great guitarist with his signature strat and all, but I dont see how he's so great, pretty bland as well. I like a couple songs by him, but I still feel he's overrated.
