Well, with Matlock they would have been too good, and their sound would have been different, the godawful lack of talent that was Sid Vicious gave the band some ballance.

And i dont care what you say, Jones and Cook were not bad musicians, not great, but far from bad, they were the soul of the band, and Rotten brought the attitude.

Vicious was just their mascot, so to speak.

the riffs arent interesting
his voice sucks
the lyrics are bland
the drums are average
oh, and, they only released like 2 albums of material
and rode the wave of live albums even though the live versions ive heard suck

there's nothing wrong with releasing just 2 albums, hell, days of the new released 3 and theyre awesome, but the difference is that travis meeks is actually an interesting musician, i noticed you didnt argue that point of mine, i know the pistols are really boring

I enjoy The Pistols's music a lot, same with Rage, i get similar feelings when listening to either of them.

Though i do like Rage more.

i wasnt trying to pick out their lyrics as being particulary bad, they arent good is all and i was trying to say that there is nothing, absolutely nothing that i like about this band, i can tolerate a lot, that's actually the basis of my tastes people forcing what they like into me, and i sit there complacent picking out that one thing i like, but the pistols give me nothing.

feelings are why bands are overrated. feelings let you see what other people dont, and feelings arent based on talent just what sounds f-cking good. because you say you like the pistols because the feeling you get, i dont get that feeling, so what's left for me, they arent the kind of band you warm up to most people ive talked to either like em or dont, there isnt much gray.
