Also perhaps 'the best' is a bit too much, definitely one of the best voices in rock & personally the most powerful voice in rock ive ever heard.

Some of these are ok..nothing great, nothing "jesus Like", and definitely nothing to "worship" over, like so many here do. I've included a few from my own list(U2/NIN) as I do like them, just think they're "overrated" and should hang it up.

Actually, MOST of the list I just mentioned should do just that, hang it up. Some have already, and I dont get the fascination with them? I like Nirvana, but ****...they're just another good band that are no more. Happens all the time. They're not "cult like", and shouldn't be considered the "icons" poeople make them out to be.

Bands are generally not rated on their music alone. Their cultural impact is often regarded as more important. If you rate Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica or The Beatles on music alone, of course they seem overrated. However, by just simply saying they're not worship-worthy and not mentioning any kind of impact, the feeling I get from reading your post is that your opinions are probably relatively uneducated and you don't know your music history ABCs.

As for Buckley's album 'Grace' I do find it pretty mediocre bar a few tracks.
But you can tell just by listening to the album that he had a lot of talent and maybe would have went on to make even better albums, had he survived.

As for the tragic death situation thing, I think yet again it added to the hype surrounding him & his one album(not meant in any disrespect though).

Grace is far from mediocre and Buckley rapes the sh*t out of Cornell.
