How Does Australia Keep Producing so Many Good Rock Bands? (myspace, youtube)

What is it about Australia that keeps on producing so many great rocks bands?

For example The Lazys who many people wouldnt have heard of yet, were recently hand picked by the hollywood actress Juliette Lewis to support Juliette Lewis and they went down a storm!!

They just did a months touring nationally and get this sold over 3000 EP's...thats more than what most signed acts sell!!!!!

There's a great video on Youtube worth checking out of these guys, just type in The Lazys, also their myspace is worth a view (For the Juliette Lewis photos ;-))

If you had actually produced some info related to the topic and not simply promote a band, then it might have been worth discussing here.
Oh well, just another troll.

EDIT:After checking them out just out of curiosity, they were ok...but i have heard too many bands with such a sound. Didn't like the vocals though.

Errr.... Isn't this forum called promotion?????

I mean if someone can't share good music with other people who love their music then what is the point of having a promotion section??

The point on Australian bands is fair, working in the Australian Music Industry I see a huge number of bands on the verge of breaking through right now, such as COG, Living End, Faker etc.... It just so happens that The Lazys are one of them,
