My mum picked me up this morning and said 'all those poor people who bought Michael Jackson tickets are going to be so disappointed, it's such a shame' and i just said yeah because i thought she meant all the gigs being cancelled and was just a bit slow. This is a shock indeed, very sad considering his age.

I also think he its a shock because he was only 50. Although I dont like his music, I have always respected him as an artist and I have even more respect for him now that hes no longer with us. I just hope now that Paul Weller doesnt cop it, as I believe him to be around 50 these days..

I do not think he was king of pop at all - this is a silly title that belongs to no one. Maybe king of over-processed bubblegum pop? Was not a fan of his super hyper muted over produced pop sound. The song 'thriller' gave me hives every time it came on the radio; it sounded like music for pre-teens or children.
