Good mucisians are usually crazy or assholes. Courtney is an alright mucisian and both.....

I'm with you on not digging Animal Collective in the slightest though.

Wow, if someone read this post, and didn't know anything about me they'd think I have the worst taste in music ever.

I think there's great music in every decade really, despite the good to bad ratio being a little off in some decades, who cares? Just ignore the bad. The 00s have offered lots of great music. People who say music isn't like what it was, it was so much better 60s-90s really piss me off (I'm not saying you're one of them.) but I dunno, modern music is fine. We just live in an era where generic pop songs appeal to people, so there's going to be a lot of it. More so than previous decades IMO.

Motown kicks the f*ck out of Stax, just be careful saying that out loud in Memphis.

The Shins are overrated, thanks to Zach Braff.
The Ramones aren't the greatest band ever. In fact, they kind of suck. But I can't disown them because, well, they're the Ramones.
I really, really hate NOFX and Anti-Flag.

Also, musicians who take a few hits of acid and decide to write an album need to be shot in the face. Half of the time the end product is good, and the other half of the time the world gets saddled with godawful albums like "The Wall".

(Someone's going to hate me for this.)
