Someone once told me that Hendrix had been outdone by Kurt Cobain.

I think it should stay open and bickering kept to PMs or something.

If Hendrix had been outdone by Cobain, does that mean he was also outdone by the pixies?!

People say some crazy things. Figures like Hendrix, and Cobain tend to get worshiped by the wrong people for the wrong reasons. They get so idolizing of both, or either, that their actual perception of their music is blurred.

Cobain was not a particularly noteworthy guitarist. Not technically, and not in terms of invention. Even in terms of sound, his technique revolved continually on simply turning distortions on, and off.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I don't think Cobain is anywhere close to being on Hendrix's level. Not even close.

The new title of the thread..C.C DeVille vs. Jimi Hendix!

Hendrix doesn't have a chance in hell!

I suspect another "bomb shell" dropped by Urban..

C.C. all over Jimi. It's not a fair fight unless you have double letter initials for a first name. Only K.K. Downing can stand up to C.C DeVille.

It's science.
