Bands like Cows, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Pussy Galore, Brainiac, Boss Hog, godheadSilo, Jawbox and Butthole Surfers may appeal?

I'm really not into a lot of alternative, but I'm trying to get into it. I really, REALLY like The Black Keys and Cage The Elephant. Aside from that, I listen to a ton of different genres, so bands that mix genres are awesome. Thanks for the help.
Perhaps ''the Go! team''?

Of that whole list I was only really very enthusiastic about Boss Hog. They were pretty awesome.

I also found Rocket From The Crypt on accident as a similar artist to... somebody. Anyway, they were freakin' awesome, so thanks for suggesting them cause I found a band I DO really like, even if it wasn't on your list. Hahahahaha.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Dont give up on bands like Cows (get Cunning Stunts, seriously great album) and Jon Spencer (Extra Width), they do not always sit well with the listener initially but, given a few listens, it hits home.

That's weird. Caravan also has an album called The Cunning Stunts.

Im really into indie bands but lately have had a hard time coming by any new ones. I know indie can range into a wide variety of genre's but im more into indie folk/pop. Keep it on the lighter side of things.

here's some good indie pop:

Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend

The Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?

Pinback - Summer In Abaddon

Beck - Odelay

Built To Spill - Keep It Like A Secret

MGMT - Congratulations

Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island (not so light, but it's worth hearing)

Pixies - Doolittle

R.E.M. - Murmur

TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain

Wolf Parade - Apologies To The Queen Mary
