Crazy movie. Loads of suspense, especially during the third act.

Have you seen The Man from Nowhere? Maybe my favorite SK movie in that genre.

What a coincidence, I had The Man From Nowhere qued up for tonight. Been pretty big on Korean stuff lately. I'll post my thoughts.

Internal Affairs is another really good one. The Departed is a remake of it and Scorcese stayed pretty faithful to IA in a lot of areas.

I'll check that out. So far, I've seen Oldboy, The Chaser, Memories of Murder, I Saw The Devil and maybe a few that I'm forgetting. Korean movies are cool.

Have you seen 'A Bittersweet Life'? I think I recced it to you ages ago. Pretty awesome korean revenge thriller. You'll love it.

Sadly, the version of The Man From Nowhere that I have is dubbed in English. **** that. I'll save it for another night. Instead, I watched Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance.

It's surreal, melancholic, gory, beautiful. Brilliant. I've thrown up a longer review on Our Feature Presentation, but it might take a while to go up.

Crimson Peak. It was interesting to see del Toro set a horror picture in the framework of a melodrama. I generally don't expect a horror to have great attention paid to set design, lighting, and character development, but del Toro certainly had each in mind. All that said, the film really wasn't my style; but I seldom opt for contemporary cinema.

Also curious whether any of our members have seen either Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) or the cinematic adaptation of Bradbury's The Illustrated Man (1969)?

Both appear to be right up my alley.
