I much prefer Ballad of *** Tony to The Lost and the Damned, though being GTA IV, obviously both are good. One difference is that the ballad has a lot of chopper action

I'm playing (testing) this little gamelet I've been working on. The gaming aspect is quite lacking tbh as this is really just a uni assignment for my graphics paper but I thought I'd post a pic anyway as I get a kick out of being able to do this kind of thing. It can be pretty interesting when you make coding mistakes as well - you get some pretty cool glitches as shown in the second picture. There were times when that basket on the end of the robot arm looked like an igloo and not like the nice parametric surface of revolution it was meant to look like.

I hate video games now. My Xbox owned me the other day. I got all but 3 acheivments for Cod 4 MW and then I went to the dashboard and I realized it wasn't on my gamertag....

That is a very good game. I beat The Lost And Damned and was working on TBOGT, but I got stuck on the mission where you steal the helicopter from the yacht.

Stuck? All you have to do is take a boat out to the yacht, get in the chopper, then rocket that yacht suckah to pieces.

Bulldog, is there any kind of goal in your game yet? I see there are some yellow balls in the first screenie!

I got stuck where you have to shoot those guard boats. I can't control the helicopters to save my life.

The only goal at the moment is to catch the Easter eggs before they splat on the ground.

My job has been to add the robot arm and make sure it can properly rotate/extend, to reflect the scene in the mirror, to implement a zoom function, and to add the textured basket which is defined by a Hermite profile curve and can have its shape adjusted at runtime.

Oh, well .. I had to try a few times before I got it here, but it wasn't too bad. I played it on my XBOX 360 and the helicopter controls, while a bit fiddly when firing at moving targets, was pretty good here I thought. I believe I used the minigun to get the boats.

Mainly just a visual thing with a bit of motion thrown in. I've never played Scorched Earth but I just looked it up and it seems vaguely like this dos game I used to play called Bombaway.
